- Charlie Bergstorf at his shop on E. Third St. in The Dalles was a locksmith, gunsmith, bicycle & wheel and tire replacement specialist, cut & installed wire-cored rubber tires for kids' wagons, fashioned some of his own gun parts, DID NOT buy electric power, quit early when days were short, at one time used a generator. Picture taken by Stan Wood on December 31, 1940.
