Ox teams and drivers in rural Chile, South America
- Title
- Ox teams and drivers in rural Chile, South America
- Description
- In Chile, transportation is still a difficult problem. Throughout all its narrow length there were in 1923 only 3,000 miles of highway fit for automobiles, which is much less than the mileage of good roads in Oregon alone. Ox carts are still the native means of inland travel. And the ocean constitutes Chile’s best highway.
