Description: John L. Fryer (left) completed a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and PhD. at Oregon State in 1956, 1957, and 1964, respectively. He was a Professor of Microbiology from 1964-1995. Richard Y. Morita (second from left) served Oregon State University as a Professor of Microbiology from 1962-1990. Paul R. Ellicker (second from right) was a Professor of Bacteriology from 1947-1976. He was chair of the department from 1952-1976. Dr. Leo Parks (right) was a Professor of Microbiology from 1958-1985 who received the 1964 Basic Research Award.
