Norman E. Borlaug (fifth from right) was a wheat researcher and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970. Warren Kronstad (second from left) was a faculty member in the Crop and Soil Science department from 1959-1998. G. Burton Wood (fourth from right) served as Director of the OSU Agricultural Experiment Station from 1966 until his retirement in 1975. Previous to this, he served as head of the Department of Agricultural Economics from 1951 until 1966.
