Description: Roy A. Young (right) became assistant professor of Plant Pathology in 1948. He was head of the Botany and Plant Pathology department from 1958-1966. He was acting University President from 1969-1970. He also served as Vice President of Research and Graduate Studies through 1977. Milosh Popovich (left) was a Professor of Mechanical Engineering from 1941-1959. He was the Dean of the Engineering department from 1954-1959, then became Vice President of Oregon State University from 1959-1979.
