- Thurman James Starker (left) was a professor of Forestry from 1922-1942. Robert W. MacVicar (center) was president of Oregon State University from 1970-1986. MacVicar was also a professor of chemistry. Carl Henry Stoltenberg (right) was Professor of Forestry, Dean of the School of Forestry and Director of the Forest Research Laboratory from 1966-1990.
