The man has a mustache and is wearing a straight-brim banded hat, scarf tied around his neck, long-sleeved cloth shirt, leather belt and holster, and leather chaps. The man is holding a pistol on his lap, held in his right hand. There is a fur pelt draped over the stool on which the man is sitting that extends onto the floor and under his shoes.
