Description
5 p. A typed response to Vern Cook from Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Harry Alpert. Cook inquired about the University Oregon's hiring practices for homosexuals and Alpert responded that to the extent of equal opportunity laws, the UO did not discriminate against homosexuals in hiring practices. He did, however, cite legal cases and other arguements that he considered to be acceptable reasons not to hire otherwise qualified homosexual candidates. Document from the University of Oregon Office of the President.
