- 2 p. A typed letter to University of Oregon President Robert D. Clark on 1/9/1970 by a student activist group, the 'January 14th People's Trial Committee', later know as the 'January 14th Coalition'. The letter lists a series of demands made to the university administration asking for the University to close on January 15th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and in oppostion to the Vietnam War. The letter also asks President Clark to present a statement on these issues on January 14th at the Erb Memorial Union, as part of the 'People's Trial'.
