- Description
- Hand tinted image. Two individuals stand on a small wooden boat floating in a canal. Each person holds two long rods of bamboo. A square compartment in the middle of the boat holds what appears to be mud-filled water. Also visible on the boat is a pile of ropes. A long piece of bamboo is attached to the side of the boat and extends across the water. Each individual is dressed in long sleeved shirts with rolled up sleeves, long pants, and shoes. The woman has an apron tied around her waist and a piece of cloth on her head. Tall grass and trees fill the surrounding banks. A mountian can be seen in the distance. The location is probably China.
