- Hand tinted image. An individual identified as a farmer stands on a wooden boat in the process of dredging for fertilizer. The person holds a dredging implement made of two tall, pointed bamboo sticks that are attached to a woven base. The individual is dressed in a wide-brimmed hat, long-sleeved top, and loose fitting cropped pants. The boat is situated next to a grassy bank lined with mulberry trees. In the background large trees and an individual in a boat are visible.The location is possibly China.
