- Black and white image. Three Chinese men standing in the middle of the street wear a cangue around their necks. On the cangues are paper with Chinese characters on the surface. The men are linked by a chain that extends underneath their shirt. The men are dressed in hats, long sleeved tops, pants, and slip-on shoes. Visible in the background is a channel of water, wooden pole, and a grass-filled embankment.
