- Hand tinted image. Two men identified as Ainu aborigines stand in a slender wooden canoe that floats on a body of water next to a rocky shoreline. The man in the foreground has long dark hair and a beard. He wears an abstract patterned robe and holds a long wooden stick. The man standing towards the rear of the boat also has long hair and a beard. He is dressed in a decorative patterned robe, and hat. In the background are out-of-focus boats, an individual and trees lining the shoreline.
