Hand tinted image. Two individuals identified as Gertrude Bass Warner and Murray Warner sit on their houseboat Illinois with a guide. The boat floats on a body of water as the three individuals sit on its bow. Murray and Gertrude are seated on wicker chairs in front of a wooden table that has a pipe, cup, and pad of paper resting on its surface. The guide appears to be an Asian man and holds a long oar in his hand. He is dressed in a hat, vest, long sleeved shirt, and pants. Murray wears a short-brimmed hat with band, long sleeved button-up shirt, pin-striped pants and dark colored lace-up shoes. Gertrude is dressed in a long sleeved shirt, skirt, and hat with scarf. Visible in the background are trees, grass, and water.
