- Hand tinted image. A group of Japanese men walk down a dirt road carrying a shrine in a festival procession. The men are dressed in loose robe-like garments, hats, and sandals. Two men hold a thick rope that is attached to the roof of the shrine. On the top of this roof is a Chinese phoenix. Buildings, spectators, and paper lanterns are visible on the sides of the street. Large wooden posts are visible in the background.
