- Hand tinted image. A Japanese man and woman in an interior space are shown steaming tea leaves over a clay stove. The woman wears an apron, kimono, and a wrap around her head. A cord is used to tuck up the sleeves of the kimono. She kneels with a metal poker in front of the stove, adding logs through an opening at the base of the stove. The man wears a kimono and stands steaming leaves in a pot. Tea leaves are visible on top of a wooden table next to woven baskets. Also visible is a pot with a wooden lid on a clay stove next to a steamer and piles of bamboo baskets behind the man.
