- Description
- An outdoor group portrait of Native American schoolboys in uniform posing under an archway with the words Indian Training School on its surface. A carved wooden bird with the word Chemawa is visible on the top of the archway. The boys are dressed in uniforms consisting of trousers with a white stripe along the pant leg, button-up jackets with a sleeve patch, and hats. Some boys stand on a picket fence next to the walkway. In front of the wooden fence is a tall wooden pole. Visible in the background is a multi-storied schoolhouse, leafless trees, and various dwellings. A dirt path extends into the foreground of the image.
