- Description
- A woman, identified as Queen Dorothy of the Portland Rose Festival sits in an elaborately detailed carriage. She is dressed in a gown with frills, a tiara, and holds a scepter. The carriage has detailed carvings of plants, flowers, and tassels on its surface. On top of its roof is an object in the shape of a crown. Attached to the front and rear of the carriage are pairs of winged figures that hold horns to their mouth. The carriage is located in an arena with covered grandstands visible in the background. A small tower topped with a flag attached to a flagpole is situated in front of the grandstand.
