- A group of six men in an interior workshop forging metal. The men's faces are soiled and they are dressed in work garments, aprons, and hats. Various metal tools lie on the cement flooring. Three men work with a large piece of machinery connected to a pipe that is attached to a brick wall. Behind the men are row of metal tools that hang on metal hooks which are attached to a long piece of wood. Two men in the background work next to a burning fire pit that is surrounded by a metal exterior. One of the men raises a tool above his head as another man holds a large metal object. The interior walls are made of brick and wooden girders extend from the ceiling. A window is visible on the back wall that is lined with corrugated metal and wood. In the foreground a metal box, pieces of wood, ash, and fire burning in a fire pit is visible.
