Out William J. Hutchins, Berea's fourth president from 1920-1939, was married to Anna Laura Murch. She was born in 1871 and died in 1960. The Doris Ulmann photograph collection casts a wide net across fields throughout the humanities and represent important primary source material for historical and ethnographic studies of Appalachian and Gullah culture as well the subject of folk arts and craft traditions.
