- Black and white image. The image displays University of Oregon students who were conducting some type of science experiment with light. A young man seated in a chair with his legs crossed, hands folded, and eyes closed is illuminated by an unseen light source. The interior appears to be located in a basement. He is dressed in a suit with a patterned tie. Directly behind him a kneeling individual holds their hands on either side of the seated man's face. A cracked concrete wall fills the left side of the image. On this wall is a vent lined with bars. A stack of cut wood is visible in the background of the image.
