- Description
-
Black and white image. A group of people, varying in age, stand in a classroom holding a fabric banner. The school is identified as the Hoselton school. The banner that the women hold reads, Standard School, and the abbreviated years 1912 and 1913. Behind the group of people is a blackboard that spans the back wall with words written in chalk on its surface. Written on the blackboard are the words, School district #105. Pictures mounted to paper hang on the wall above the blackboard. A piece of paper attached to the wall beneath a metal pipe near the ceiling reads, in part, Requirements for a standard school. In the foreground of the image are wooden desks with detailed ironwork. Also visible in the image are containers of ink, paper, pencils, potted plant, wooden bench, wood floor, and a rectangular metal container with a metal latch.
