- Black and white image. A group of students, varying in age, are seated inside a classroom gazing down at a book. Wooden desks surround a round wood-burning stove located in the middle of the room. A pipe that's attached to the adjacent wall extends from the top of the wood stove. Two small logs are on the wood floor next to the stove. Spanning the wall in the background is a blackboard. In front of this blackboard stands a male teacher dressed in a suit and tie. On the left side of the image is a partial view of a row of wooden benches. Also visible in the image are a bookcase windows covered with shades.
