- Black and white image of young students seated at desks inside the Blue Mountain schoolhouse, located in Lane County, Oregon. The children are seated at long wooden desks that have detailed ironwork on their legs. The room's wooden interior is decorated with a large American flag, and a world map. Flowers in container sit on a desk in the foreground and on top of a wood-burning stove in the center of the room. A metal pipe extends from the top of the stove to the ceiling. In the background four children sit on a wooden bench and face the camera; the bench faces a female teacher that sits at a wooden desk. Behind the teacher is a blackboard. Also visible in the image is a cabinet with glass doors, books, a satchel, and three tall windows.
