Description: Colored image. Seen from above, the Pillars of Hercules rock formation faces the Columbia River. In the left foreground are winding train tracks identified as the "O. R. R. & Nav. Co. Road" that passes between the Pillars. There are four utility poles paralleling the tracks. Trees line the riverbank, which has been eroded by the flooded river. Rocks, trees and utility poles are partially submerged in the river. In the distance can be seen tree-covered slopes or hillsides.
