The book Classic Houses of Portland, Oregon 1850-1950 (Timber Press, 1999) attributes Whidden and Lewis (architectural firm) as the architects of the Nahum A. King House, northwest corner of Salmon Street and 20th Avenue, with the date c. 1904.
