Construction on the EWEB headquarters complex began in January 1987 and employees moved into the buidling in July 1988. A dedication ceremony for the complex took place September 30, 1988. The construction was largely paid for by a voter-approved bond measure. On September 13, 1989, the waterfront plaza, River Edge Public Plaza, was dedicated.
