Note
Designed by the A. E. Doyle architectural firm, the McMorran & Washburne building was renovated and expanded by J. C. Penney in 1955-1956. Architect Percy Bentley added a two-story addition and the exterior was completely changed. Campbell, Yost, Grube & Partners designed an addition in 1977 and a later remodel restored the arched windows on the second floor.
