Biographical Information
Sturgeon Lake is located on Sauvies Island near Portland. The piece was done as part of a series commemorating places that are special to me. What is special about these places is the aspect of relative unspoiled quality or wilderness they possess. By visiting these spots, I feel a clarity sharpening of my senses - restored to some sense of balance. (Webb, 1995)
