This paper sculpture presents a grid of pastel paper overlaid with a smaller, foil grid pattern, which is then broken up by a succession of identical, folded forms that move diagonally across the piece. Bits of confetti accentuate the diagonal movement.

Nexus is a design group specializing in textile collaboration, including works in paper. 1986 group members include Susanna Campbell Kuo, Marie Lyman and Alice Van Leunen.<br>The paper relief sculptures are based on traditional Japanese origami.
