(1986) I paint from sheer desire. I see people and are attracted to their heads. I find their bodies boring. I began working in this method in 1973 as a solution to some painting issues and got the results I was looking for. There are some definite limitations to this painting method and I have stopped doing it but I always go back to it. People seem to like my titles. I make up lists of titles but do not paint the pieces with definite titles in mind. I don't title a piece until it is finished unless there is something that keeps coming up as I am working.(Gregory Grenon)
