Biographical Information
I have a BS and MFA in fine and applied arts from the University of Oregon. I am a fulltime freelance artist working in sculpture and painting. I have major pieces at the Salem Civic Center; Firgrove Building in Salem; Mohawk Shopping Center in Springfield, Ore.; The New Life Center in Newport, Ore.; Lincoln County Courthouse, Newport, Ore.; Lake Grove Shopping Center, Bellevue, Wa.; Metro Center in Phoenix, Arizona. My work enhances private collections throughout the U.S. and S.W. Canada, and many points abroad. I have work in many Oregon and Washington galleries. I show in one man, group and gallery shows all up and down the west coast. I specialize in wildlife sculpture and oil painting. I work in most sculptural medias: welded steel, brass and bronze, synthetic materials, rock and wood carving. LAKESIDE MANNER took 380 hours to weld together. It weighs about 500 lbs. It was hauled and erected in one piece (Hodges, 1981).
