- The OIT catalog states that technology is the science of transforming complex scientific knowledge into practical application. I have applied this principle to the OIT Technology Library window. My concept evolved from a piece of stone magnified thousands of times throught an electron microscope. The interesting patterns, textures and shapes that emerge were the inspiration for the design concept for the OIT Library (Meehan, 1981).
