Dark and light tones, accented with yellow, comprise this abstract painting that suggests movement across the surface of a reflection on water. Curtains is part of a body of work concerned with spatial and two dimentional relationships of shapes seen in the rippled and reflective surface of water. Christy Wyckoff; curtains; pastel on canvas with acrylic varnish; 60x85 inches; 1982 Christy Wyckoff grew up in Eastern Oregon. He received a BA from the University of Oregon in 1968 and an MFA from the University of Washington in 1971. In 1979, he received an Oregon Artists Fellowship. Wyckoff has taught at Pacific Northwest College of Ar cwyckoff@pnca.edu The Oregon Arts Commission has ten Regional Arts Councils that provide delivery of art services and information.
