- A concrete relief sculpture of an oak leaf set into a rectangular setting that is surrouned on four corners by what appears to be some sort of seashell relief. The reliefs in the corners alternate between convex and concave relief. This view provides a contextual setting for the work. - I walked the PERS site recently; it was after the leaves had fallen. Through tree and leaf identification, I noted a number of native trees: Douglas fir, Oregon white oak, alder and bigleaf maple. These serve as inspirations for this proposal. (Storrs, 1995)
