The work is site-specific, relating to the work of the OSU Seafood Lab & Consumer Center. The fish are species-specific -- to the Northwest coastal waters, as reference to depleted marin resources, and to the work conducted at the OSU Seafood Lab. The passage of light from windows in both buildings reveals the surace patterns on the fish, and allows the appearance to vary with the quality of light and weather conditions. (Robert, 1998)
