According to documentation provided by Ken Paul, Skyscape Project, a five-sectioned assemblage painting, was intended to hang either in a corner or flush against an open wall in two main sections, from floor to ceiling. Paul describes that the sky section and the irregularly shaped plywood section right below it can be permanently joined by two screws to form the top section that can hang either from the ceiling or by hooks in the wall. The remaining three sections, pieced together, form the second section that was intended to rest flush underneath the top section and against the wall. Also, Paul stresses that he intended for the sky section to be viewed above eye-level when the piece hung on the wall, and he hoped that the piece might be hung with enough care that no gaps existed between the sections of the piece or between the piece and the wall.
