- This landscape scene depicts an outcropping of rocks in the middle of still, reflective water. A single tree grows up through the center of the piece, and the water is surrounded by other bushes. Angular rock formations and dotted hills provide a backdrop. - I like color and contrasts, but color that can be changed. There is no reason why a tree has to be gree and rocks can be almost any color and any shape. (Mortensen, 1989)
