- Note
-
Since 1951, minimum security South Fork Forest Camp inmates have been employed in the Tillamook burn area assisting the State Forestry Department in its reforestation program. Several inmate forest firefighting crews are trained and maintained at this facility and are utilized on major forest fires throughout the state. Through agreement with the federal government, conscientious objectors to military service could also serve their respective sentences at the camp.
