Description
Geometric compositions of colored glass framed over light-emitting boxes on the wall. In the Light Box is an example of the marriage of different types of glass including mirrors with light and wood in an aesthetic way. The graphically designed border with the playful, freeflowing lead in the middle represent Hansen's sense of freedom within his formal graphic design training. In Light Box; Douglas Hansen; leaded glass; each section 48 x 30 inches Douglas Hansen has maintained an Architectural and Art Glass stuido in Seattle for 15 years. During this time he has developed various processes that make his works varied and original. Tours of Hansen's studio are available by appointment. (1989.)
