Biographical Information
Kathleen Cassidy, artist and photographer, has been a resident of Northeast Oregon since 1978. she graduated from EOSC in 1981 with a B.S. in Art. She has been interested in photography mos tof her life and combines her love of the outdoors with the artistic talents she possesses. Kathleen has long been influenced by Ansel Adams' photography; some of her photographs display that influence. Kathleen's photo, "A Night to Remember" was taken during a trip in the Eaglecap Mountains, an area she is very fond of. The dramatic sunset preceded an intense thunder and lightening storm. Her other photo, "Lonely Leaf" was taken during a trip in the remote deserts of eastern Utah. The calmness of an only leaf laying on sand ripples next to a creek, inspired Kathleen to look in detail at the earth and make a statement through her photograph. (Unknown, 1990)
