Description
The sections of this piece form a four-section grid. Starting in the upper left, an irregularly shaped black mark occupies the space of a white rectangle. Moving to the right, the upper right corner is a red square. Below it, in the lower right corner is another red square that contains a black apple with a screen pattern overlaid on top of it. Finally, in the lower left, a white rectanlgle bears an embossed, linear pattern. George Johanson; Apple and Curtain; intaglio; 1970; 22 x 26 inches framed George Johanson attended and taught at the Museum Art School in Portland, Oregon.
