"This monotype is part of a series of monotypes I have done that explore the relationship between images and borders. My work plays back and forth between the real and the abstract, the two dimensional and three dimensional. I am a founding member of Oregon Printmakers' Studio, a cooperative print studio in Eugene, Oregon. Oregon Printmakers' Studio has facilities for all printmaking techniques and an active exchange of work and ideas with Irkutsk Artists' Union, U.S.S.R." Dole, 1991
