It is often the intimate view that is most intriguing to him--the landscapes in the hood of a rusting auto, the intricacies of a ponderorsa bark, or the nautilus-like spirals of a stairc The Oregon Arts Commission has ten Regional Arts Councils that provide delivery of art services and information. Note
This project included the construction of a complex of four major science buildings: the construction of a new Museum of Natural History and two smaller architecture studio buildings to replace dislocated facilities, and a remodel of a former science building for Architecture and Allied Arts, which lost about 15,000 net square feet of programmatic space to construction of the new science buildings. The project was completed between 1989-1991.

An interactive campus map of the University of Oregon may be viewed at: http://map.uoregon.edu/ Deschutes Hall, lobby

Biographical Information
This piece is from a portfolio of over 80 pieces entitled Echoes. Man's capacity and need for symbol making distinguishes us from all other living creatures. The images in this series are echoes of the symbolic material that reverberates between our internal and external worlds. The thorough exploration of the world of surface creates a conduit through which the richness of the psyche can unfold. The medium I have chosen to depict that interplay of psyche and surface is that of aging vehicles: the mythical landscapes that emerge from rust patterns, peeling and sanded paint, and dance of light off folded metal. The 'models' are vehicles I have come across in my travels; they and their color have been unaltered by me. Often the language that is used to describe the photographic process has to do with freezing or capturing a moment in time. My goal is rather to liberate the many layers of meaning that attend that moment (Zee, 1986).
