Biographical Information
"I am interested in natural patterns and hidden structures. The computer is my tool to explore structures and patterns. To write a program I must find the pattern or structure for the image I want to create. I use the computer to calculate, draw, and output the patterns I design. I then use that output to produce photo-process screen prints. Dynamical systems or 'Chaos' patterns are especially interesting to me. They are the patterns of nature. The patterns in dynamical systems were not found until the computer allowed man to be able to do the massive amounts of computations necessary to plot their structure. I also use Image Processing techniques as a basis for discovering patterns and imposing my own patterns of shapes and colors upon an image. I am interested in the bridges between Man's descriptions of nature and Nature's actual structures." Lockett, 1991
