- Note
-
The Columbia River Correctional Institution (CRCI) is a 500 bed minimum security prison located in North East Portland. It opened in 1990, and houses approximately equal numbers of male and female inmates in separate dormitory style housing units. The institution's programs for inmates focus on development of work habits and skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment after release. One hundred inmates [50 women, 50 men] are housed in a separate living area designed specifically for use as a residential alcohol and drug treatment center. (Information obtained from Oregon State Archives. See at: http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/state/odc/hist/current_org_crci.htm)
