- We don't get much snow west of the Cascades. When we do, I enjoy the peace and quiet it seems to bring even to the most ordinary of circumstances. I had passed by the place many times, not even noticing; in the snow it became extraordinary. Thank you for the chance to share it with the people of Oregon.
