I always wanted to be an artist, I painted and took children's classes at the De Young Museum in San Francisco. When I graduated from high school I attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and finally the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon where I graduated with a B.F.A. Since then I have been painting, showing and teaching professionally. The images in my work come from a mixture of forms that I see and forms that I imagine. I incorporate textures and patterns that five new meanings or emphasis into these forms. The images I create are about fantasy and the release that fantasy gives.
