Biographical Information
In two expanses of art glass on the First Floor and the Third Floor of the Higher Education Center in downtown Medford, OR, vibrant color and light shift dramatically through panels that are sandcarved and reverse painted on 3/4'' glass with corresponding panels of richly textured cast glass. The art committee expressed a desire that the finished design reflect the combined efforts of Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University to bring this center to fruition and, thus, the title 'It Begins Within the Circle'. In flowing movement and spirals and oversize images from nature, the pieces are a dynamic abstract representation of the commitment of a community to bring hope and new life through education to the diverse student population of the region. It is the circles in our universe that connect us all.
