Biographical Information
When I first saw drawings of the Knight Law School in the office of Yost Grube Hall, I was immediately taken with the arch which rises over the front entrance to the school. I imagined a crowning wreath of laurel "Laurus nobilis" a reminder of high ideals that law students may aspire to. I also thought the classic symbol of the laurel wreath referenced laws Roman connections. (Storrs, December 1997)
